Welcome to Wildlife Transitions Gator Hunts. We are here to provide you with the best, most heart pounding experience you will have gator hunting. We will have you hunting out of an flat bottom aluminum boat, We will cruise along beautiful lakes of North Central Florida looking for prehistoric gators. Once found we will use our push pole to stealthly get us close, where you will use a crossbow or a compound bow to shoot your gator. If he's a monster, we can get him close enough, you can harpoon him for an extra restraining line. After wrastlin' with the beast you will pull him in close to the boat and Bangstick'em. You will then pull him in the boat, secure him, and sever his spinal cord while your heart is still pounding. What was that? It all happened so fast, your brain didn't have time to engrave the memories? No problem we can take photos and shoot video in H.D.so you can go back and show all your friends and family just how much of an adrenaline rush the experience was. August 15, through October 31. Several thousand permits will be issued. Either by first come first or a lottery. These tags normally sell out in 3 or 4 hours. Nonresident trapper’s fees are $1,000. Your agent’s fee is included in your package price. These are by far the best package deals. These hunts can only be done at night from A boat, with either harpoons or bows. This is by far the most exciting and challenging method of harvesting alligators. These are all night hunts, for one night. It may require a second night if we have bad weather. In 2009 the last gator of the season we took was over 10 feet long. On one of the State’s premium Trophy lakes, we averaged well over 8 feet. Our hunters also took several shots at 4 different gators between 12.5 and 13.5 feet long. Yes, they are still out there, just waiting for you to try your luck this year.
